Ok folks its that time again i've gotten the itch and want to upgrade my current gaming rig. I've mostly been looking into / thinking about upgrading the gpu but would like your opinions on the matter before i pull the trigger on it.
Current specs are as follows.
Cpu i5-2500k 4.5 GHz
Motherboard GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68
PSU SeaSonic X750 Gold
GPU Evga gtx 560 ti
Ram 16gb gskill ripjaws (1333)
Cooling Corsair h100
Hard drives basic 1tb drive, 60gb ocz vertex 3
Case coolermaster haf 932
Now with all of this said I have personaly been eyeballing the gtx 690's for a while now, this computer will be used predominantly for gaming (anything from WoW to Planetside 2 to flight sims)
i run a 2 monitor setup but only game on one at a time currently at 1920x1080 resolution however i do want to run anything and everything i throw at it for a while on max settings (future proofing)
As far as a budget goes i don't really have one the price of the 690's isn't outside of my reach but i will be only upgrading a single component at a time i'm mainly searching for advice on which one i should really start out with and if the 690's price tag is really worth it and if so which card to get, or if i should just wait it out at this point for the 700 series
Thanks for taking the time to read over this and dealing with my poor formatting.
Sidebar: i forgot to mention somewhere else in the post that i am in the US.
