Attempting to overwrite Windows 8 on my laptop with a Windows 7 N Edition via disc and so far my attempts at if have failed. The installation process keeps and continues to freeze at "Starting Windows".
The disc seems fine, able to run it on a few other desktops.
Tried through Boot by disc
Tried through Boot Manager
Tried through Installation off of disc while logged on Windows 8 to create a Windows.Old folder
None of these have been successful with the disc option.
So I go ahead and mount it to a flash drive, and end up getting the same results.
Beginning to wonder if Micro$oft decided to prevent people from overwriting / rollbacking Windows 8. *Conspiracy, shifty eyes.*
So with that failure, I've had to reinstall Windows 8 to get it back up and running just so I have something better then nothing.
Get that back up running all fine and dandy, but now Windows 8 is requiring a Email and Password in order to finish it's personalization installation when this was a complete clear and wipe after the Windows 7 installation attemps?
