I'm noticing a pattern where a lot of the end bosses, or near end bosses seem to be corrupted by something or someone. Be it directly or indirectly. The main examples coming to mind, Illidan by lust for Arcane Magic and afterwords the Skull of Gul'dan. Arthas by revenge and afterwords Ner'zhul/Frostmourne and most recently Neltharion who was driven mad by the Old Gods. Every single one of these characters at one point in time were good, or neutral at worst in Neltharion's case.
And now in Mists of Pandaria, we finally have a character that's inherently evil, and has made out to be so with every opportunity. The soul reason why the Horde allegiances are growing thin. Killing Cairne Bloodhoof, exiling Trolls from Orgrimmar and banning Sylvanas from procreating. I mean finally someone you have absolutely no pity for... And again they want to have something "corrupt" him?
I'm really looking forward to MoP, but I really think this trend is going a bit to far.
