Lots of heat in me laptop.

Hello.

I have an Asus Zenbook U500VZ. Basically, it gets quite hot when gaming. Even streaming stuff. Gaming it's at 80*C, streaming 70*C. I went into the advanced power settings and noticed that the "minimal processor state" was set to 100%. Changed this to 10% but it changed automatically back to 100% after a minute or two. Odd.

I tried setting the maximum processor state to 50% which actually reduced the heat by 20-30*C.

Note that these temps are when I'm even using the Cooler Master NotePal x3: http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/prod...roduct_id=3075

I assume it's the minimal processor state that's causing it. At least I didn't have this issue before. The fans on the laptop itself as well as the ventilation stuff is below the laptop, meaning I'm pretty much forced to use a cooling pad as having it on any surface blocks the airflow.

Playing with the processor state could be dangerous for performance, right? I didn't notice any difference in WoW at least, but surely there must be.

Anyone with similar experiences?
