My current PC is has been showing it's age recently with newer games such as planetside 2 ( it runs, but not very well ). So I am planning to buy this bundle in the next week or two to upgrade some of the parts. http://www.maplin.co.uk/eruption-qua...-bundle-686070. I am hoping to get some feedback on if this is as good of a deal as I think it is, I don't really keep up to date on hardware. And if it is worth it or if I would be better off waiting a while, I'm not in a rush to upgrade atm.
(makes little difference but I plan to buy in store and not online, it's a little under 300 euro)
This will be replacing a 2.3 ghz Quad core AMD processer and 4 x 1GB ram sticks (sorry I don't have more details on that or the motherboard model, was a pre-built computer).
I am using a Radon HD 6850 video card which will be transferred into the new PC along with the SSD, 2 x HDD and dvd drive.
I will probably upgrade the video card again eventually but it should do fine for now.
I already have a corsair CX600 PSU which I brought for my current PC but it didn't work (hoping it was a compatibility issue and not faulty, still in warranty if it was a fault).
I already got a new case (current one is not in good shape) Zulman Z11 plus.
On a related note for the case, the front USB 3.0 ports use an external type USB connector for each one to be connected to the motherboard, so I am trying to find a solution for that, I tried searching for PCI-e adapters that had internal USB ports but only found ones with external USB. The cables appear to be long enough to reach out through the rear of the case and to an external port, but I would rather avoid that if possible.
Thanks in advance for any feedback/help.
