With the upcoming siege of orgrimaar, the horde will lose their warchief. Who replaces him is unknown, and there have been plenty of speculation threads about that.
But with Garrosh dieing, it isn't impossible to think a major alliance character will also die.
Is it possible that Varian dies during 5.4, possibly to Vul'Jin or Garrosh? They have been building up Anduin a bit this expansion, and it only seems fair that if the horde leader must die, then the alliance leader dies as well. After all, it would be a major, major victory for the alliance if Varian were to succeed in helping to kill Garrosh.
I personally think this would be a great story line. Something where Varian and whoever the next warchief is, helps you through the raid, somewhat like Tirion in ICC. Then at the end, either garrosh kills Varian, or we kill garrosh and then the future horde leader kills Varian as well.
