I just hit 85 on my Warlock; I've been running Affliction and Destro, primarily Destro as they seem to have more burst for questing and dungeons. I'm getting the hang of it so far but a few things are a little confusing to me:
General:
1) I'm having just a bit of trouble remembering to use Curse of the Elements; what also applies that debuff so I know if I have X in a group I don't need to apply CoE, or for the time being should I just apply it all the time just to get in the habit of doing so?
Destruction:
1) At the start of a fight (let's say a normal dungeon boss) should I immediately burn both Conflagrates to get 6x Backdraft, or go Conflag > Incin x3 > Conflag > Incin x3? Does it depend on how many Embers I have saved up already?
2) I'm a bit confused on Chaos Bolt usage. Should I use it after I get some procs and use Dark Soul, or before? If I'm starting a boss fight with full Embers, should I burn a Chaos Bolt immediately after Immolate to avoid wasting embers? I don't have the ability yet but the one that lets Chaos Bolt consume Backdraft; I understand you never want to use it with 3 or more stacks; is it okay then to use Chaos Bolt if I have 2 stacks? Incinerate still takes precedence for Backdraft though unless I'm going to cap on embers, correct?
3) What is the best usage of Havoc when there are two enemies? I've been using Havoc at the start of the fight; should I be saving it until I can get off a Soulburn or two? Should I use up all the Havoc stacks with a Chaos Bolt? Should I use Havoc to apply Immolate or apply that manually on both?
4) With Soulburn, does it just replace Chaos Bolt in my priority when <20% or do I spam it as long as I can? In other words you normally use Chaos Bolt at 3.5 embers; would I continue my normal priority and just use Soulburn every time I'm at or near 3.5 embers, or if I have 3 embers say spam Soulburn x3, then Incinerate back until I get embers, then Soulburn, etc.?
