Need a bit of flash (AS3) help

Hey guys

i need help with something in flash

in the game http://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/PicnicOnPluto.html (select phase 5, ie) im looking to replicate the button spawning the symbol with randomly generated words (its a set list of words) that this has, but i cant find any tutorials for it.
Anyone know what it is called / link to tutorials for it?

Any help would be appreciated

i skipped the button thing, didnt know how, but have the rest working
