Hopefully this belongs to the computer section.
Im working at a company right now and they have some templates in Office Word 2007
They want the templates to have Network mapped hyperlinks such as
H:\test\test
However when doing this it shows the full path way server/folder/test.exe
Is there anyway to keep the "G:" pathing i found this on Microsofts own Kbase.

However is there work around ?
Windows XP, Office 2007
Things i have tried:
Typing the hyperlink manually
edit the hyperlink and verify the pathing
Settings > Proofing > Autocorrect options > Internet and folders hyperlinking.
