We're a friendly and social group of mature raiders from Europe (mostly England and Norway) who raided together since Dragon Soul right up until mid-December 2012. We killed everything up to Amber Shaper HC by that time, placing us at 10/16H before disbanding. Many of us have an even longer history that dates right back to US beta, giving us a great perspective on World of Warcraft and what it means to be a modern day raider.
Since we disbanded Profound we have been raiding in other guilds at an extremely casual basis; sometimes attempting to return to our previous hardcore lifestyle (without success). As well as not wanting to commit long hours each week into raiding and playing the game, we also experienced a loss in the sense of a home - somewhere we belong, together, as a group. We have had more free time since December, so we ended up doing things together in real life: meeting up, playing other games, and raiding in PUGs with constant contact through Skype and Mumble.
It's time to group back up and return to our previous glory, but this time without having to put in all that excess effort. We aim to reform our previous guild, and we need people who are focussed and have experience in high end raiding who share our vision that success does not need to be a second job. This is still a project in its infancy, which means the server choice isn't yet set in stone, but most of us are currently still on Stormscale EU. There is a discussion right now that might bring us to move to Jaedenar, since Stormscale really has surpassed its welcoming charm that we raiders require.
*Update* EU-Jaedenar will from now on be our home!
Our proposed raiding hours have been discussed and we are currently hoping for:
Wednesday: 20:00 - 23:00
Sunday: 18:00 - 23:00
(Times are in server time, CET/CEST)
Most of us are interested in playing other games too, which means you might also see us online during non-raid days, doing other things. If we have sufficient interest and availability, extra raid days could also happen. Since this is a group project, extra raids will never be mandatory. Your life, your choice, no pressure.
However, on official raid days we expect everybody to be up-to-date with their class, the current progress, and come punctually prepared. Time is very limited, and we have to make every minute count.
We wish to be able to progress through heroic content without being dragged down by people under-performing, or by playing without focus and passion. If you feel at any point you can't give this to us, we encourage you to be open and fair with us so we may replace or substitute other members into your spot. Remember, this is a group of friends who would like to make every minute count!
By joining us you would get a stable and mature guild with people who are passionately interested in gaming and being social; generally, having fun as a group of friends, and this is the atmosphere we wish to maintain.
