Greetings fellow gamers!
Yesterday I got my legendary meta and noticed how poor it is for destruction. My haste rating is 5500 (reforging all out of haste), yet the cast time of backdrafted incinerates during either bloodlust or during the meta procs are below 1 sec (0.9something). The cast time of backdrafted incinerates during lust and meta are 0.73 seconds... It feels such a waste.
These are the proc chances based on spec:
0.761 Arcane
0.302 Fire Mage
1.387 Frost Mage
0.625 Affliction
0.598 Demonology
0.509 Destruction
1.891 Elemental
1.872 Moonkin
0.933 Shadow
1.000 Anyone Else
So not only the procs are partly/fully wasted at times, but the destro coeffictient sucks ass, as it's the 2nd worst one from that list. And since the proc chance is subject to RPPM system, the proc chance is also affected by haste. But I'm reforging all out of haste since I have cast times lower than 1gcd as it is.. So this will mean I'm getting even less procs.
Then again, if you look at the blue meta gem, it gives 3% crit dmg and 216 primary stat. While the primary stat is a somewhat equal loss across all the specs, the 3% crit damage hits destro more. This is because a good chunk of our damage comes from chaos bolt, which always critically hits and because destro favors crit more than other classes, the dark soul version for destro is 30% crit chance for 20 sec, etc etc.
They could have made the caster meta like the melee one (procs that lead into instant dmg) or simply make it a raw spell power proc, instead of it being a secondary stat proc that favors some specs more than others..
So in the end, even if the legendary meta may still be an upgrade over the blue one, it certainly doesn't feel too legendary to me... Instead it bugs me that most of the specs get a significant benefit out of this, while destro gains so little...
